OVERVIEW

As Edmund Optics’ global Adobe Marketo champion, the Marketing Automation & Analytics Manager designs predictive, data-led journeys that put the right optical insight in front of every engineer, researcher, and buyer—precisely when they need it. By synchronizing email, landing-page, survey, CRM, e-commerce, and paid-media touchpoints, the role transforms raw engagement signals into sustainable revenue growth while honoring each customer’s communication preferences. Hands-on, technically fluent, and relentlessly analytical, this manager partners with the Director of Global Digital Marketing to localize strategy and steward budgets that fuel discovery, innovation, and an exceptional end-to-end customer experience.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills; proficiency in Power BI (or similar BI tools), GA4, and Excel/Sheets.
  • Proven ability to build multi‑touch attribution models and maintain UTM governance.
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email, landing‑page, and survey customization.
  • Experience leading agile marketing ceremonies and workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate data into actionable insights.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Adobe Marketo administration, including automated nurtures, lead‑scoring models, landing pages, surveys, attribution models, and reporting (Marketo Certified Expert preferred).

Ability to operate office equipment such as a copier; ability to see details at a close range; ability to sit at desk or PC for long periods of time; work in office setting.

Responsibilities

1 | Marketing Automation (Primary Focus)

  • Serve as Adobe Marketo system administrator: governance, user permissions, data hygiene, and documentation.
  • Design and launch lifecycle journeys, nurture streams, email campaigns, landing pages, and surveys using lead scoring, dynamic segmentation, and personalization tokens.
  • Ensure synchronization between Marketo and connected systems (CRM, e‑commerce platform, data warehouses, etc.).
  • Build, maintain, and refine multi‑touch attribution models; own UTM taxonomy and tagging governance.
  • Implement AI‑assisted features (subject‑line optimization, anomaly detection, send‑time prediction) to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Maintain GDPR/CCPA/CAN‑SPAM compliance and monitor program performance, troubleshooting issues related to sync, tracking, and attribution.

2 | Digital Advertising Management (SEA & Paid Social)

  • Plan, launch, and optimize global search engine advertising (Google Ads Search, Display, Shopping) and paid social campaigns (LinkedIn, Meta, X).
  • Define bidding strategies, build audiences, and execute creative and landing‑page tests aligned with Marketo tracking and attribution standards.
  • Monitor channel KPIs (CPL, CTR, ROAS, pipeline contribution) and deliver actionable insights for continual improvement.

3 | Performance Analytics & Reporting

  • Build and evolve dashboards to visualize funnel metrics (deliverability, CTR, MQL volume, SQL conversion, pipeline, and revenue influence).
  • Conduct A/B tests and statistical analyses to validate hypotheses and recommend optimizations.
  • Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders in clear, concise narratives.

4 | Budget Management

  • Own the global digital advertising and marketing‑automation budget: plan allocations, monitor pacing, and forecast expenditures.
  • Identify under‑ and over‑performing areas and reallocate spend to maximize ROI.
  • Provide monthly budget performance reports and scenario projections to leadership.

5 | Agile Marketing Operations

  • Work under an agile environment: sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives, and backlog prioritization for the marketing‑automation workstream.
  • Drive a culture of rapid experimentation, documentation, and shared learning across the global team.
