ROLE DESCRIPTION The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering Hogan Lovells’ marketing operations activities globally and will provide marketing and business development support to practices, industry sectors, and regions. They will provide hands-on support for the creation and management of marketing content, business development materials, and manage client or matter data. This will include supporting on legal directories, business summaries, credentials, portfolios and pitches, lawyer biographies, brochure materials, and various online content with a consistent tone of voice and messaging. They will also work with their M&BD Operations colleagues to ensure processes and systems are up-to-date and used effectively by the department and contribute to projects to continually improve processes and leverage the use of technology and AI. It is envisaged that the services provided by the M&BD Operations department will expand to cover other areas and processes in future. This job description sets forth the authorities and responsibilities of this position and may be changed from time to time as shall be determined. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES Practice and Function Support Work closely with the members of the Marketing & Business Development teams to provide appropriate levels of support by service area with a consistent, reliable, timely, and high-quality approach. Develop a solid understanding of Hogan Lovells, including practices, industry sectors, clients, and competitive positioning. Know our business. Directories and awards submissions - Provide support for deliverables (updating submissions, referee lists, trackers, biography profiles, ranking analysis, publication and submission deadlines, etc.). Partner with M&BD colleagues in practice areas, industry sectors, and regions to deliver high quality deliverables including and not limited to directory submission processes, drafting pitches, credentials content management, deal reporting, research and experience capture methods. Sponsorship administration – Maintain, consolidate, and track lawyer sponsorship requests, for approval to Practice Group Leader/s and relay feedback to lawyers. Provide administrative support for events, webinars, and conferences. Content and Materials Administration Contribute to our marketing and business development efforts through deliverables such as business summaries, credential pitches, deal reporting, directory submissions administrative functions, event materials, experience capture, sponsorships, and other services in support of the firm’s business development requirements. Act as guardian and internal expert on the firm's tone of voice and its application across its marketing and other materials (process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), reference guides, etc.). Research and review relevant market, industry, competitive, and business information for the preparation of relevant content. Proofing internal and external client facing deliverables and saving to the appropriate document management system. Uploading final pitches into our global pitch system and/or our Global Pitch Library (GPL), ensuring pitch materials are kept up to date, are client-focused, compliant, and easy to evaluate. Collaborate with practice area, regional, and industry Marketing and Business Development teams to update the credentials in our experience management system, Foundation. Create and maintain client business summaries in support of our business development opportunities. Other duties and systems as assigned, supporting a broad range of M&BD services.
