JOB SUMMARY

The marketing communications coordinator, based in Optimae’s Iowa City corporate core office, will serve as a member of Optimae’s marketing communications team with the marketing communications director, who is based in Ames.
Must utilize the ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision while leveraging multiple skill sets. Will work as a team member with all personnel to meet the core values of Optimae LifeServices’ vision, mission and values. The marketing coordinator will have the ability to make public relations decisions in the absence of the supervisor.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism, English or related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Mastery of AP style, grammar and usage guidelines
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Express, Acrobat, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong multi-tasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to plan and execute a variety of projects concurrently
• Experience with digital communications/marketing, social media management, website management and analytics tracking
• Experience with WordPress preferred; experience with Elementor a plus
