About the role

This is a part-time position, 3 days per week including Thursdays to align with staff meetings and other staff rosters. You will coordinate the development and implementation of the Museum's annual marketing and communications strategy, strengthen the Museum brand and reputation nationally, and identify new audience growth opportunities and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of the Museum's annual marketing and communications strategy
  • Strengthen the Museum brand and reputation nationally
  • Identify new audience growth opportunities and strategic partnerships
  • Lead campaign planning for its successful execution
  • Manage databases and communications for membership, subscribers and event bookings
  • Grow visitation across exhibitions, public programs, education and venue hire
  • Develop strategies for memberships, donations and repeat visitation
  • Oversee website, SEO, CRM, email marketing and analytics
  • Lead organic and paid digital campaigns
  • Build relationships with mainstream, multicultural and Chinese-language media

About you

  • 4+ years' experience in strategic marketing, communications or brand management
  • Experienced and proficient at creating design collateral using design software such as Canva and Adobe Suite to finished art for print and presentations
  • Demonstrated understanding of Chinese Australian communities and Australia's multicultural landscape
  • Strong knowledge of both mainstream Australian and Chinese-language media and digital platforms
  • Experience developing integrated marketing strategies that deliver measurable growth
  • Excellent stakeholder management, writing and presentation skills
  • Highly proactive with the ability to identify and lead new opportunities
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English
  • Experience in arts, culture, museums, tourism, education or not-for-profit sectors desirable
  • Valid working with children check required
  • Right to work in Australia required
