MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS EXECUTIVE
About FMAS: The Federation of Merchants’ Associations, Singapore (FMAS) is a non-profit organization that represents and champions heartland merchants and hawkers in Singapore. We organize various events and programs to enhance the vibrancy of the heartlands, support merchants and hawkers, and drive business development. FMAS collaborates closely with Ministries, Government Agencies, and other public and private stakeholders to implement initiatives that develop and improve the heartland economy.
About the Role: Are you creative, resourceful, and passionate about storytelling through marketing and visual
content? FMAS is looking for an energetic and motivated Marketing & Communications Executive to support our branding, outreach, and engagement efforts. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for design, photography, and video editing who are eager to make an impact in the heartland business community.
Beyond marketing, the role will also involve supporting FMAS’s key projects and daily operations to ensure seamless execution of various initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Multimedia, or a related field.
- Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) and video editing tools (e.g., Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong photography and ideography skills with a good understanding of composition, lighting, and editing.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and digital marketing trends.
- Strong writing and communication skills to develop compelling content.
- A creative and proactive mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to take on a diverse range of responsibilities.
- Passion for working with heartland businesses and the local community is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing and branding plans across FMAS projects and initiatives.
- Create engaging content, including graphics, photos, and videos, for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns.
- Manage FMAS’s social media accounts by crafting regular posts, monitoring engagement, and optimizing content strategy.
- Support the development of marketing materials such as brochures, posters, and digital advertisements.
- Capture photos and videos during FMAS events and initiatives for content creation and archival purposes.
- Edit and produce high-quality video content for social media, event highlights, and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate and manage digital marketing efforts, including social media ads, email newsletters, and website updates.
- Support the implementation of marketing strategies to enhance FMAS’s visibility and engagement with merchants, hawkers, and stakeholders.
- Assist in managing FMAS’s shared secretariat services related to digital marketing and communications for member associations.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for marketing-related projects and events.
- Assist in FMAS’s key projects, including event planning and execution for initiatives like the Singapore Heartland Enterprise Summit , Singapore Heartland Enterprise Star Award , Hawkers’ Seminar & Awards , and other industry collaborations.
- Support FMAS’s membership engagement activities, including outreach efforts to recruit and retain members.
- Contribute to precinct activation and placemaking projects to improve the vibrancy of heartland business districts.
- Provide assistance in sponsorship and partnership development efforts.
- Perform general administrative and operational tasks to support FMAS’s overall functions.
