ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and creative marketing professional to join Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles as our Marketing Communications Manager. In this key role, you’ll be responsible for delivering integrated marketing communications across retail, brand, digital, CRM, and social platforms. You’ll work closely with internal teams, agencies and global stakeholders to shape our market presence and support national sales performance.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on variety, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, data-driven insight with creative storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholder engagement.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Lead the development and execution of national retail marketing strategies in collaboration with product and sales teams
  • Manage creative and media agencies to deliver impactful campaigns that align with business objectives
  • Develop brand marketing initiatives that strengthen the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles identity, in coordination with the Passenger Vehicles brand team
  • Roll out model-specific marketing campaigns in alignment with product launches and lifecycle planning
  • Deliver a cohesive digital marketing strategy across paid media, website, configurator tools, and lead generation platforms
  • Manage all campaign-related website content, ensuring accuracy and alignment with sales and finance offers
  • Oversee social media strategy including ambassador/influencer programs, agency direction, and KPI reporting
  • Drive CRM strategy execution across the full customer lifecycle, ensuring alignment with sales and customer experience objectives
  • Collaborate with IT, digital, and data partners to optimise lead management tools, online forms, and digital applications
  • Support development of dealership brand guidelines and asset management systems
  • Maintain marketing budget oversight and ensure appropriate PO and expenditure approvals
  • Contribute to regular campaign reporting, agency reviews, and strategic steering committee updates

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a marketing communications role, ideally within automotive or a fast-paced consumer industry
  • Proven track record in delivering integrated campaigns across multiple channels
  • Strong understanding of digital media, CRM, retail marketing, and customer engagement principles
  • High-level communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in campaign reporting and marketing metrics
  • Exceptional organisational and time management capabilities
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to adapt and perform under pressure
  • Familiarity with the Australian automotive market and dealership environment will be highly regarde
