Job Description The Marketing & Communication Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication initiatives to support the hotel’s pre-opening and opening phases. This role shapes the hotel’s image and drives visibility through traditional and digital channels, ensuring brand consistency and strong media presence. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Brand Management Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with business objectives. Monitor market trends and competitors. Ensure consistent brand tone, messaging, and visual identity across all materials and channels. Manage all hotel material (menus, leaflets, brochure, collateral, spa brochure, etc) and presentations, in addition to the production of hotel/outlets/sales collateral, branding and logo items, ensuring all branding and company guidelines are followed and consistency. Implement and follow up Hotel and Orient Express brand guidelines. Collaborate with external agencies and suppliers for design, production, and creative development. Content Creation & Communication Produce and edit press releases, media kits and speeches. Provide content for website, email marketing, sales, hotel and trains departments as needed. Manage photo and video shoots, maintain image library, and ensure updated marketing content across platforms. Create branded guest gifts and promotional items. Public Relations & Media Relations Execute PR strategies to generate awareness during pre-opening and launch. Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and partners. Handle press inquiries, coordinate press visits and influencer trips. Manage crisis communication to protect and promote the hotel’s reputation. Digital Marketing & Online Presence In coordination with Regional Digital Office and Orient Express Global Digital team: Oversee website content, digital campaigns (SEO, PPC, social media), and email marketing in collaboration with digital teams and agencies. Monitor digital performance and reporting, optimize campaigns for visibility and conversions. Manage content on third-party platforms (Tripadvisor, Google, OTA sites) to ensure accuracy. Social Media Management In collaboration with the social media agency and in cooperation with Regional SM and Global SM teams: Develop and execute social media strategy with agency support. Create and schedule engaging content; monitor trends and audience engagement. Manage community interactions and social media reputation. Address social media crises in collaboration with global communications. Events & Partnerships Support events and press initiatives during pre-opening and opening phases. Identify and build partnerships with local brands and tourism organizations. Represent the hotel at industry and media events as needed. Monitoring & Reporting Track media coverage, campaign effectiveness, and overall brand performance. Provide regular reports and presentations to management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field At least 5 years of experience in a marketing and communications role in luxury hospitality industry.
