POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing/Communications Specialist coordinates all branding, marketing, internal and external communications and public relations activities for all areas of Carson Valley Health (CVH) under the direction of the Director of Operations/Executive Leader over Marketing & Communications. Serves as a public representative of CVH at community events and may serve as Public Information Officer as directed. Works together with communications and development staff to maintain the brand image, messaging and reputation of the organization.
This position requires working night and/or weekend hours occasionally.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing or communications role.
  • Graphic design skills in Adobe suite are preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Photography skills are a plus.
  • Video creation and editing skills are plus.
  • Prior healthcare experience is a plus.
Responsibilities

OTHER DUTIES

  • Content creation related to storytelling via writing, blog posts, video creation and editing, and Foundation donor communications.
  • Support internal communications as necessary.
  • Support Outreach events as necessary.
  • Maintain mailing and contact database (email or physical mail addresses).
  • Demonstrates willingness to identify and/or assume activities relative to the developmental needs of the department.
  • Demonstrates dependability/flexibility in meeting scheduling needs of the department and hospital.
    BENEFITS: If you are scheduled to work part-time at least 20 hours per week and full-time at least 32 hours per week, you are eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
