POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing & Community Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in telling WPPC’s story, promoting its mission, and increasing community awareness through effective internal and external communications. This position supports the development and execution of marketing, brand awareness, and outreach strategies to elevate visibility, both digitally and in-person within regional markets. Additionally, this role supports
internal recruitment, promote services, and engage donors, community partners, and the public.
The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented communicator who can manage multiple projects, create compelling content, and support organizational goals through verbal, digital, print, and community-based marketing efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role (nonprofit or healthcare preferred).
  • Proficiency in social media management, email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), and website CMS (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Basic design skills using tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  • Photography and video-editing experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED SKILLS & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Passion for mission-driven work and a heart for serving vulnerable communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Spanish fluency preferred but not required.
  • Flexibility to attend occasional events during evenings or weekends.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, SEO, and digital ad management is a plus.
