We are seeking a motivated, organized, and compassionate professional to join our team as a Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator / Executive Assistant. This role blends marketing, community engagement, fundraising support, and executive-level administrative responsibilities. Position Overview The Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator / Executive Assistant supports BARC’s visibility, fundraising, and community engagement efforts while also providing high-level administrative assistance to the Executive Director. This position plays a critical role in communicating BARC’s mission to the public, building relationships with community partners, and helping secure resources that sustain and expand our impact. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Communications Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to raise awareness of BARC’s programs and mission. Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, and website updates that highlight client success stories and community impact. Design and distribute promotional materials, press releases, and event collateral. Coordinate with media outlets, community organizations, and local businesses to increase visibility and partnerships. Maintain brand consistency and ensure all communications reflect BARC’s values and mission. Community Outreach & Fundraising Assist in planning, organizing, and promoting fundraising events, donor campaigns, and community engagement initiatives. Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities, including acknowledgments, reports, and appreciation events. Maintain donor and sponsor databases, ensuring accurate records and timely follow-up. Represent BARC at community events, presentations, and meetings to build relationships and strengthen partnerships. Identify potential outreach and collaboration opportunities with local organizations, businesses, and civic groups. Executive Support Provide administrative assistance to the Executive Director, including scheduling, correspondence, and meeting coordination. Support internal communications and assist with special projects as needed. Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of experience). 3+ years of experience in marketing, community outreach, fundraising, or executive support—preferably in a nonprofit setting. Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Constant Contact (or similar), and social media platforms. Experience coordinating events and managing donor or CRM databases is a plus. Understanding of nonprofit operations, community engagement, and donor relations. Passionate about serving individuals with disabilities and promoting inclusion and empowerment.
