JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Advertising and Marketing Associate within our agency, you will be at the heart of initiatives aimed at improving the lives of children in foster care. Your role will involve developing and implementing marketing campaigns that convey the life-changing impact of fostering, with a strong focus on the needs of children and young people in our care. You will work closely with our team to promote fostering, recruit foster carers, and build positive community relationships that prioritise children’s well-being and secure placements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in child-centred marketing and recruitment strategies.
- Strong digital marketing skills, including social media strategy and content creation.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a passion for advocating for children’s rights and well-being.

Responsibilities:
- Child-Centric Market Research and Analysis
- Engage with foster carers, social workers, and community groups to understand the unique needs of children in foster care and how these can be communicated to potential foster carers.
- Conduct market research focused on identifying the types of support and resources that foster carers need to provide a nurturing environment for children.
- Present insights on children’s needs and the impact of fostering to help shape campaigns that emphasise the agency’s child-centred approach.
- Development of Campaigns with a Focus on Children’s Well-Being
- Create digital marketing strategies that tell the stories of children in care and the positive impact of foster families, focusing on themes of stability, emotional growth, and educational support.
- Design campaigns that highlight the specific, child-focused support provided by our agency.
- Produce content that illustrates the profound difference foster care can make in a child’s life, including blogs, videos, and social media posts that amplify the voices of foster carers and, where appropriate, young people themselves.
- Collaboration and Child-Focused Communication
- Collaborate with recruitment teams and social workers to ensure marketing materials reflect the diverse needs and experiences of children, emphasising safety, continuity, and emotional support.
- Brief advertising teams on the importance of child welfare in every campaign, working with designers, writers, and digital specialists to maintain a compassionate, child-centred tone in all outreach materials.
- Act as the agency’s representative in child welfare-focused events, sharing information about the fostering journey and how carers can help create a brighter future for children.
- Community Engagement and Advocacy for Children’s Needs
- Support child-focused events, informational sessions, and local outreach initiatives that raise awareness about the agency’s role in supporting vulnerable children.
- Develop relationships with schools, health organisations, and child advocacy groups to broaden community understanding of foster care and the pressing needs of children within the system.
- Represent the agency at community events and recruitment fairs, advocating for the needs of foster children and encouraging prospective carers to learn more about providing a safe, caring home.
