Summary We are seeking a Marketing Coordinator with 2-4 years of experience to join our team in Calgary, Alberta. The Opportunity One year at Akash Homes is like three years elsewhere. Due to our rapid expansion and unique operational challenges, this role will push you to grow as a leader while making a direct impact on the company's success. Your experience in real estate, homebuilding, or construction will help you navigate day-to-day marketing efforts across all our geographic regions. This role reports directly to our Marketing Manager and will be the primary content creator and social media executor, ensuring we show up consistently, authentically, and professionally across Instagram and LinkedIn. You'll be the boots-on-the-ground storyteller who captures what makes Akash special: the craftsmanship behind our builds, the excitement of new show homes, the progress happening on-site, and the people building dreams every day. This is an execution-first role. We need someone who can shoot, edit, write, post, and iterate, fast. Priorities for Your First 3 Months: In this role, you’ll focus on three key priorities that define success in your first three months. These priorities highlight where your impact will be felt early on and set the foundation for long-term growth and contribution at Akash Homes. Month 1: You've audited our current social presence, met key stakeholders (sales, operations, trades), toured multiple job sites and showhomes, and established a sustainable content creation rhythm. Month 2: You're independently capturing and posting content 4-5x/week on Instagram and 2-3x/week on LinkedIn with minimal oversight; we trust you to make decisions. Month 3: Our social channels feel alive—people are engaging, our brand feels current, and you're proactively identifying content opportunities without being asked. What You’ll Work On : Content Creation & Social Media (70%) Plan, create, and publish 4-5 Instagram posts per week and 2-3 LinkedIn posts per week for Akash Homes across Calgary and Edmonton. Capture authentic, high-quality photo and video content on job sites, show homes, and at company events in both markets. Develop Instagram Stories/Reels and LinkedIn content that showcases behind-the-scenes moments, construction progress, team culture, and new inventory. Write compelling, on-brand captions that resonate with first-time buyers and industry partners. Monitor engagement, respond to comments/DMs promptly, and maintain community interaction. Stay current on social media trends and platform updates to keep our content fresh and relevant. Project Support & Execution (20%) Collaborate with Marketing Manager and Senior Leadership Team to execute marketing campaigns, show home launches, and promotional initiatives. Coordinate photoshoots with external vendors or capture content independently. Maintain content calendars and ensure timely delivery of assets. Support email marketing, website updates, and digital advertising as needed. Assist with event coordination and community engagement activities. Brand Stewardship (10%) Ensure all content aligns with Akash brand guidelines. Maintain consistency in tone, visual identity, and messaging across platforms. Contribute ideas that position Akash as modern, approachable, and customer-focused. What You’ll Bring Must-Have's: 2-4 years of marketing experience in real estate, homebuilding, construction, or property development. Deep understanding of the homebuilding customer journey from consideration to possession. Demonstrated ability to create tailored content and messaging for specific audiences including B2C, B2B, and B2E. Proven track record managing Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube for a business (portfolio required). Strong photo/video content creation skills—comfortable shooting on iPhone and editing in Canva, CapCut, or similar tools. Excellent writing ability—you know how to write captions that convert curiosity into engagement. Self-starter mentality—you see what needs to be done and do it without waiting for direction. Comfortable on construction sites—steel-toe boots, hard hat, and all. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle (required for travel between Calgary and Edmonton markets, job sites, showhomes, and office). Nice-to-Have's: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom) Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.) Basic understanding of paid social advertising (Meta/LinkedIn ads) Knowledge of Calgary real estate market trends and competitive landscape Experience collaborating with sales teams or generating leads through content Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary appropriate for junior level Extended health care benefits (including dental and vision) Matching RRSP program Continuing education support.
