GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires an understanding of technology and methods used for marketing campaign implementation, including but not limited to email marketing automation, digital advertising (including Google AdWords and programmatic marketing), website design and content management systems, association management system, social media channels, and other emerging technology platforms. This position also requires excellent customer service skills, as well as the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and maintain a high attention to detail.
Decision-making: Decisions made are at a defined level and are based on existing policies and procedures. The coordinator will work closely with department directors to make suggestions or recommendations to alter or improve existing campaigns as needed. The coordinator will also work closely with the director of membership on email marketing automation strategy for member recruitment and engagement.
Complexity: Requiring an intermediate knowledge of marketing principles and skills, the coordinator must demonstrate appropriate problem solving, forward-thinking attitude, program analysis, and knowledgeable judgment based on experience or research. Working knowledge of AAPACN programs and member benefits is essential to this role.
Authority: This position is that of an individual contributor.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Four-year college degree in marketing, business, or similar field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a marketing support position
  • Excellent copyediting skills – ability to rework technical text into marketing copy (desired)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows-based programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database management and content management
  • Working knowledge of ClickDimensions or other marketing email platform preferred
  • Working knowledge of AdWords and Google Analytics preferred
  • Strong understanding of new technologies and how they can be applied to marketing
  • Experience with social media marketing
  • Ability to problem-solve and generate new ideas for program growth and success
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with staff and association members
  • Detail-oriented and a high degree of accuracy in all work
  • Able to work independently, make logical decisions, and develop effective means to reach desired result
Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Support the development and implementation of the organization’s marketing plans. Work with the director of marketing to drive revenue generation and brand awareness for AAPACN and for the AAPACN Education Foundation.
Support the go-to-market strategies for new program/product launches. Work collaboratively with marketing and membership teams to develop campaigns to support products/services, membership, and recruitment efforts. The position requires a high level of focus, as well as a task and detail-oriented service approach. A key function of the position is to coordinate the weekly emails and social media content as well as to track and maintain monthly data analytics. The coordinator will be asked to juggle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
