Join Beacon Community Services as the Marketing Coordinator, a key member of the Communications team who brings our mission to life through powerful digital storytelling. This role is central to growing Beacon’s online presence and connecting with our community across social media platforms. As the Marketing Coordinator, you will use your creativity, writing skills, and eye for engaging content to share stories that matter. You will work with a passionate team and help shape how Beacon is seen and heard.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager of Communications, the Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in growing Beacon’s online presence and supporting a consistent brand experience across digital platforms. This role is responsible for managing social media channels, creating compelling content, and tracking analytics to support strategic communications goals. The Marketing Coordinator works closely with departments across the organization, external partners, and the broader community to share stories, promote initiatives, and ensure consistent digital messaging

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in a marketing or communications role, with a strong focus on social media and content development.
  • Experience using Hootsuite, Canva, and Microsoft Office (Teams, Planner, Forms, Outlook, etc)
  • Experience creating and analyzing social media campaigns across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in using social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with an eye for storytelling and tone
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to identify social media trends and hashtags
