POSITION OVERVIEW Ready to take your marketing skills to the next level? Join our team as a Marketing Coordinator and make an impact! You’ll be at the forefront of developing and executing creative marketing strategies for the Employment Services and WorkBC programs. From crafting communication plans to creating engaging content, you’ll play a key role in increasing awareness and driving the success of our initiatives.     Reporting to the Program Manager, the selected candidate will assist with organizing and executing community outreach activities. This includes calling and screening potential clients from marketing events, making reminder calls to clients from priority groups about their appointments, learning front desk protocols, and directing clients to the appropriate staff. Also learning about employment support services, distributing information on these services, coordinating job search workshops, and implementing the marketing plan. The candidate will deliver marketing materials to community centers, write and communicate success stories, research resources, and gather labor market information. Tracking all marketing and community engagement activities, compile information for quarterly marketing reports, monthly inventories for marketing materials, develop surveys, and collate marketing data. The role also includes participating in and learning about various activities and organizing, generating, and planning hiring fairs, festivals, and other events. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate must be enrolled or holds a degree or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, experience in managing online social media platforms. Previous marketing experience and proficiency with Adobe Suite are preferred. Should be flexible and willing to adapt to changing situations, with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks, projects, and assignments, along with a problem-solving approach. Ability to identify sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality, strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. This is funded by the Government of Canada through the Canada Summer Jobs Program. Qualified candidates must be:  * Aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job; * Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN); and  * Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent Resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.  This role requires the incumbent to undergo a Police Information Check (PIC), and a Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Justice.
