Summary:  The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing marketing communications projects including member events. This position provides support for initiatives across the Marketing Department including advertising campaigns, community engagement, financial education and employee communication. Education: * Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, business administration or related field is preferred, but must have at least an associate’s degree or equivalent training or work experience in this area. Experience: * Minimum/at least of two years similar or related work experience required. Required Skills:  * Photography and video experience preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. * Highly motivated, detail oriented, creative, proactive, and self-directed. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong organization, prioritization, analytical and problem-solving abilities needed to meet deadlines. * Team player with ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff in the organization. * Strong time management, negotiation, sales and organizational skills. Ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. * Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks, projects and information simultaneously. * Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality. * A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and adequate auto insurance.  Physical Requirements:  * Work required includes physical activity including lifting, bending, squatting, twisting, and reaching. Required to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment:   * Position requires occasional driving to perform job duties at a credit union branch or remote location. Reliable vehicle required. * Weekend, evening hours and travel required. * Extensive use of a desktop computer and/or laptop is required. Duties and Responsibilities:  1. Assist with planning, coordinating and executing marketing promotions and campaigns. 2. Creates and edits quality copy for marketing materials to use for internal and external audiences that is accurate, clear and well-researched. This includes, but is not limited to, staff guides, brochures, website, social media, newsletters, and annual reports. 3. Plan and coordinate Meritus CU hosted events and provide support for community and financial education events as needed. 4. Collaborate with Marketing Intern to track, maintain inventory and order marketing collateral and marketing items.   5. Coordinate print orders, promotional items, and other projects with marketing vendors, ensuring accurate quotes, timely delivery and high quality of deliverables. 6. Assists with the research and development of new products and marketing strategies including packaging, pricing, integration and software tools. 7. Coordinates branch merchandising and delivery of marketing collateral to branch locations. Conducts regular branch visits to ensure up-to-date marketing materials are in use and a consistent member experience across all locations. Establish and implement a Branch Marketing Ambassador program. 8. Assists with conducting member surveys and/or focus group meetings. 9. Support the day-to-day operations of the Marketing team, driving projects forward, ensuring they are aligned with strategic priorities, objectives and deadlines. 10. Maintains an understanding of the credit union's products, services, policies and procedures. 11. Provide additional departmental support as needed. 12. Other duties and tasks as assigned.
