Description Mike’s Bikes is seeking an ambitious, creative, and highly organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team. This dynamic role is for a "creative doer" who can bridge the digital world and the local cycling community. You will be the central engine for our social media presence, community outreach, and the logistical lead for events and content production, ensuring our brand voice is consistent, inclusive, and exciting. Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a marketing, events coordination, or social media management role, preferably within the retail, action sports, or outdoor apparel industries. Proven ability to plan and execute community-focused events and retail activations Demonstrated success managing and growing multiple social media channels with a portfolio of content creation, shooting, and editing Experience in cross-functional project management and workflow tracking (Jira experience is a plus) Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign) for layout updates and quick video edits. Comfortable operating basic photo/video equipment (Sony/Canon/Fuji, GoPro, Gimbal setups). Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, able to coach staff and riders for a confident on-camera presence. Help develop copy and voice used in Mike’s Bikes' social content. Strong copywriting skills required. Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of bicycles and the cycling community Organization: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project timelines and priorities. Ability to package files for print and work with outside vendors to bring retail assets to life. Essential Job Functions: Community Outreach & Events: 40% Plan and support key marketing initiatives, including local group rides, Mike’s Bike Collective events, and retail activations Manage event kits, secure products for shoots, and coordinate travel/accommodation for creative projects Act as the primary liaison for Collective Club Leads to source community-driven content Project Management & Support: 30% Own project tracking in Jira, ensuring marketing tickets are updated and deadlines are met Fulfill localized marketing requests from Mike’s Bikes employees and provide necessary assets Coordinate with internal Creative Team (e.g., Digital Content Producer) and house of brands for aligned storytelling Social Media & Content Production: 30% Own daily execution of our online events calendar, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Strava Produce, shoot, and edit social content Assist e-Commerce and Online Director, Justin Lamb, on larger-scale video/photo productions Craft engaging, brand-aligned captions Requirements Travel: Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for events and field shoots - applicants must have a valid CA driver's license and a clean driving record Physical: Ability to stand for long periods during events and lift up to 60 pounds (event tents, bikes, equipment) Schedule: Flexibility to work occasional weekends for event coverage
