Description The Marketing Coordinator supports Spirit Mountain’s marketing efforts through hands-on content creation, communication, and coordination across departments. This role is highly interactive, spending time throughout the mountain capturing real-time experiences and translating them into engaging content for social media, web, and email. This position is ideal for someone who is outdoorsy, creative, detail-oriented, and excited to grow a career in marketing within the ski, bike, and recreation industry. This role also plays a key part in maintaining energy, connection, and culture across the organization. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Capture photo and video content across the mountain (ski hill, bike trails, events, retail, food & beverage, campground, etc.) Create and draft social media content for review and approval by the Marketing Director Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date information across platforms: Website (including updates such as hours, mountain message, and operational info) Google Business listings (hours, closures, updates) Draft marketing emails and written content for campaigns, events, and promotions Attend events, programs, and activities to capture real-time content Partner with internal departments (Retail, Food & Beverage, Outdoor Ops, HR/Recruiting, Campground, etc.) to gather timely and accurate information for promotions and communications Assist in developing and maintaining a content calendar for social media and marketing initiatives Monitor and respond to internal communications (email, Teams) in a timely and professional manner Support promotion of events, programming, and seasonal offerings Help reinforce brand voice and consistency across all communications Contribute to a fun, engaging, and connected culture across employees and departments SCHEDULE & BENEFITS This is a part-time, flexible role averaging approximately 17–20 hours per week Schedule will vary based on operational needs, events, and content opportunities (including some weekends, evenings, and holidays) Opportunity for a hybrid schedule, with some tasks completed remotely (content drafting, scheduling, website updates, etc.) Position is seasonal, with an anticipated layoff period in April/May depending on operational needs Benefits & Perks: $1 Season Pass Buddy Passes 30% discount on Food & Beverage Accrued Sick Time Pay Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities Basic proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed Ability to work independently while staying aligned with direction and feedback DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience with content creation (photography, video, social media) Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress or similar) Experience drafting marketing emails or promotional content Knowledge of the ski, bike, or outdoor recreation industry Experience developing or managing a content calendar Basic understanding of branding and marketing strategy Comfortable on skis and/or mountain biking (or willingness to learn) Energetic, outgoing personality with a natural ability to connect with people PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to move throughout mountain terrain in varying weather conditions Ability to stand, walk, ski, or bike for extended periods of time Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs (camera equipment, materials, etc.) Ability to work outdoors in all seasons CORE VALUES Safety: Our top priority is the safety of our employees and guests.
