Marketing Coordinator  Location: Toronto, ON or Kingston, ON The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for supporting all marketing activities including email marketing, webinars, digital advertising, research, marketing material and webpage updates, marketing automation, website optimization, lead generation and more in support of the Retail Insurance Product and Marketing team’s goals and objectives. The incumbent is guided by defined goals and objectives and works under the general supervision of the Marketing Manager, Digital Solutions, Insurance. WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON * Support the Marketing Managers to develop, manage and implement strategic marketing and communication plans for Retail Insurance Products and Platforms. Assist in the conceptualization, development, reporting, and testing of all marketing initiatives.  * Write program briefs that identify and articulate marketing communications strategies, tactics and metrics for Retail Insurance Products and Marketing initiatives.  * Write copy for emails, social media posts and other initiatives that are on brand and that drive engagement.  * Ensure our value proposition and key messages are consistent and resonate with the target audience.  * Plan, implement, promote, and measure the impact of webinars and other communication vehicles. * Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to secure input on the development of consistent, compelling marketing programs.  * Create quarterly reports for all Voice of Customer surveys.  * Coordinate submission and approval of presentations for CE accreditation.  * Adopt a test-and-learn approach to improve the impact of marketing initiatives consistently.  * Identify process improvements; provide input into and implement improvement plans.  * Other projects as assigned  WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE * Min 2+ years experience in a Communications or Marketing Coordinator role, preferably in the financial services/insurance industry  * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or a related field  * Demonstrated ability to manage Marketing projects from start to finish to meet deadlines and stakeholder needs, while maintaining a consistent and compelling brand voice across platforms  * Experience in the creative and copywriting development process for both print and digital assets, with strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills  * Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative software or other creative tools (InDesign, InCopy, Canva) strongly preferred  * Proactive social media community engagement across platforms such as Reddit, Quora would be beneficial  * Demonstration and/or Digital savviness to explore new platforms and tools, especially using Generative AI.  * Experience with online event marketing and coordinating online webinars on platforms such as BigMarker, NTT, etc.  * Knowledge and experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Campaign Monitor)  * Basic knowledge and experience using analytics platforms like Google Analytics  * Experience in aspects of digital marketing, including Social Media, Community Management, SEO/AEO, Paid Search, Display Ads, and Landing pages  * Good knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint  BEYOND THE SALARY For regular full-time positions, Empire Life offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes: * Competitive salaries with annual pay increases * Annual bonus program, which recognizes both strong company performance and individual contributions, for non sales positions * Competitive uncapped commission, for sales positions * A comprehensive employer-funded benefits package starting from day one of employment, that includes life insurance, disability, health and dental and a generous health account * Flexible work arrangements and an annual allotment of personal health days. * Four weeks of annual vacation from hire date * A defined contribution pension plan with generous employer matching * Top up programs for parental leave and compassionate leave * Employer-sponsored wellness and recognition programs * A cash employee referral program To learn more about working at Empire Life, visit https://www.empire.ca/workatempire [https://www.empire.ca/workatempire].
