Status: Part-Time, Permanent
Hours of Work: 21.6 Hours per week
Salary: $33.00 to $34.00 per hour
Location: The primary work location for this position will be in-person, in Calgary downtown/Beltline. There may be an opportunity for a hybrid work schedule.

The Marketing Coordinator supports Open Door Group’s marketing and community engagement initiatives to increase program awareness, client referrals, and employer partnerships. This role contributes to both digital and in-person marketing efforts, including creating and distributing promotional materials, managing social media campaigns, and coordinating events. The Marketing Coordinator cultivates relationships within service communities, prepares content for diverse audiences, and supports the execution of strategies that highlight ODG’s programs and services. They assist with project scheduling, maintain marketing collateral, and participate in committees, special events, and professional development to ensure effective, current, and impactful outreach.
The ideal candidate is a creative and organized marketing professional with a passion for community engagement and relationship building. They excel at developing clear, compelling content for diverse audiences and are skilled in both digital and in-person marketing strategies. Proactive and adaptable, they can manage multiple projects, coordinate events, and maintain strong partnerships to promote programs and services. With strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit, they thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to advancing Open Door Group’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, or Social Sciences; and/or equivalent of education and experience
  • Three years of recent related experience in marketing, sales, communications, public relations or similar
  • Or acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid driver’s license and use of motor vehicle
  • Must maintain a satisfactory criminal record

ORGANIZATIONAL, TECHNICAL & MARKETING SKILLS

  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to create compelling marketing materials and presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Skilled in group facilitation delivering clear and concise information to diverse individuals
  • Proficiency in graphic design software, content management systems, and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint) and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams).
