Description
The Direct Marketing Data Specialist is primarily responsible for the execution and support of circulation processes within the Direct Customer Marketing division. This position will be accountable for the timely execution of data processing to meet the mailing dates for each direct mail campaign and will be expected to fully manage projects/areas of expertise. In addition to working with direct mail data and managing project timelines, this position is responsible for coordinating all appropriate data requirements with internal departments and third-party vendors. This position works closely with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate campaign logistics, manage customer data, and drive marketing performance. This role further supports campaign planning, name selection, and testing for catalog, direct mail, and outbound telemarketing campaigns.   Major responsibilities of the position are listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   * Assist in the project management and execution of effective retention marketing initiatives through direct mail and outbound telemarketing * Prepare, standardize, and transfer customer name/address data to/from databases and external vendors for direct mail purposes * Create documentation and mailing instructions for external partners * Communicate and coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure accurate execution of marketing campaigns * Validate vendor mailing simulations, proofs, and inkjet specs on all mail pieces prior to printing * Update various databases with refreshed data such as circulation records, mailing costs, and various other data elements * Assist customer service with customer issues regarding mailings and customer contact preferences * Create and execute ad hoc data queries and analyses * Ability to work with minimal supervision, be detail and result-oriented, maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity, and have excellent time management skills. * Other job duties as assigned Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree preferred. * At least 1 year of experience working with Snowflake data platform is required. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level or higher is required. * Background in database marketing, direct mail, marketing analytics, programming, or application support is preferred. * Experience with Sigma is preferred. * Understanding of marketing strategies and promotional tactics is preferred. * Experience in a multi-channel, multi-brand direct mail environment is an advantage. * Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with SQL is preferred. * Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, as needed.
