As a Marketing & Design Assistant you will report to the Customer Marketing Communications Manager in the Marketing & Communications department based in Sydney for a permanent contract.
As a Marketing & Design Assistant you design and produce marketing materials and digital assets for use across print, social media, email campaigns, and websites. You apply graphic design principles (e.g., layout, imagery, typography) to support internal and external communications, promotions, and events. By the usage of industry-standard tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva you develop brand-aligned content across brochures, flyers, POS displays, and merchandise. You support trade marketing activities, manage internal portals, coordinate suppliers, and maintain design consistency across all touchpoints. You provide creative and administrative support to the wider marketing team and work under limited supervision for routine tasks and assist with varied projects that require initiative and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the development of creative content for in-branch events & activations and ensure all materials align with brand guidelines and are delivered on time and to spec
  • Support state teams with trade marketing and merchandising needs, coordinating with external suppliers such as commercial artists, photographers and printers and sign companies as required
  • Maintain the POS and Merchandise Portal, ensuring all materials are current, accessible, and aligned with campaign requirements and assist internal stakeholders with the design of communications, case studies, newsletters, and staff updates
  • Provide graphic design assistance for business presentations, ensuring visuals are brand-aligned and engaging
  • Assist in the coordination of, graphic assets and other creative projects and be involved with the concepts of the promo - this may include ideation, design of look of feel, prize selection etc.
  • Support Marketing & Communications Department to ensure all advertising promotional material is available as per agreed plans
  • Prepare for the company’s participation in trade events and customer events, including co-ordination and orientation of displays, products, advertising and promotional literature
  • Maintain showroom to ensure space is always ready for external customer events and provide extra support when events are scheduled
