JOB DEFINITION:

As a Marketing Design Manager, you will be a key member of the Marketing Team, leading, managing, and evolving the visual identity of our brand. Your work will contribute to our overall goal of supporting the sales team and each business unit by stewarding a world-class brand experience for customers, prospects, partners, and employees. You will work closely with our team of writers and content creators to deliver all designed assets for our events, promotions, and digital marketing channels to ensure our visual identity is achieved and constantly improved.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong organization and leadership skills with the ability to manage and collaborate with a diverse team of designers and contractors.
  • Proven experience in UI/UX design, brand management, and content delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with various departments to achieve a cohesive brand identity.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually appealing and effective designs.
  • A track record of brand elevation within B2B environments.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Visual storytelling: Ability to convey brand messages through compelling visuals.
  • Brand identity development: Ensuring consistency across all design outputs.
  • Proficiency in design tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, Sketch, etc.
  • UX/UI principles: Understanding user-centered design for digital experiences.
  • Motion graphics & video editing (optional but valuable): Tools like After Effects or Premiere Pro.
  • Team management: Leading and mentoring designers, providing constructive feedback.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Working with marketing, product, and sales teams.
  • Project management: Prioritizing tasks, managing timelines, and meeting deadlines.
  • Stakeholder communication: Presenting ideas clearly and incorporating feedback effectively.
  • Creative problem-solving: Finding innovative solutions within constraints.
  • Adaptability: Responding to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
  • Attention to detail: Ensuring high-quality, error-free deliverables.
  • Time management: Balancing multiple projects efficiently.
  • Experience in event design and management.

Responsibilities
  • Brand Management: Establish and maintain a Brand Book to ensure consistent visual identity across all media and channels.
  • Collaboration: Support and collaborate with Sales and Enablement teams to complete design tasks required to deliver world-class client presentations.
  • Event Design: Design assets for events, including invitations, landing pages, and internal events such as parties and celebrations.
  • UI/UX Design, Testing, and Implementation: Oversee the design, testing, and implementation of user interfaces and experiences across all channels.
  • Media Design: Create incredible designs for a range of content types, including print, digital, apparel, signage, and video.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and collaborate with a roster of talented designers and video production contractors across Western Canada.
  • Client Presentations: Design and layout content for client success stories and outcome documents.
  • Website & Social: Ensure our visual identity is achieved and constantly improved across digital channels such as our website, social media, and video content.
