As the successful applicant you are passionate about and equally comfortable working on both digital and print media. You have strong design, web development, and writing skills, understand multi-channel campaigns, and are interested in branding and marketing strategy. In this position you will be a key member of a small marketing team, responsible for supporting the Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing & Communications with a wide range of materials across several business units. Your work will include but is not limited to design and copywriting for websites, social media, news releases, newsletters, advertising campaigns, signage, sell sheets, and a variety of other digital and print materials.
Tasks:
- Support the Marketing Manager and the Director of Marketing & Communications as required
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Projects & Operations Coordinator to support the creative elements of complex multifaceted marketing campaigns
- Develop and present creative briefs to our Agency of Record and work closely with them in a project management capacity to deliver on marketing and promotional campaigns
- Provide in-house design as needed on a variety of marketing campaigns as described in the job description
- Support asset requests from internal and external stakeholders for logo’s, brand elements etc.
- Copy writing for, but not limited to, webpages, newsletters, social media posts, ad promotions, sell sheets, and more
- Copy editing, and proofreading as needed
- Utilize Mailchimp to design, draft, deploy, and track various newsletter and email campaigns
- Setup, manage and monitor online advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Social Media Ads and Boosts)
- Work with social media Agency to support content calendaring, content development, content scheduling through LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok
- Social Media engagement and monitoring
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years’ experience in a marketing and communications related role
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Communications, or Graphic Design
- Literate in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Office, Teams and other commonly used software applications
- Experienced with:
- Adobe Suite design software (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
- Canva or Figma (or similar cloud-based design software)
- Social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube)
- Mailchimp (or similar email software), Survey Monkey (or similar survey software), WordPress (or similar CMS), HubSpot (or similar CRM), Hootsuite (or similar social media management software), and other cloud-based business and communications tools
- Familiarity with project management software (i.e. Wrike, Asana, Basecamp, or similar)
- Basic HTML and CSS knowledge considered an asset
- Video editing considered an asset
- Construction Industry or Industry Association experience considered an asset
