Feme Ltd is a manufacturer and distributor of hair and beauty products. We proudly supply quality hair extensions, wigs, weaves, bulk braiding, hair pieces and accessories to flourishing retailers and bulk distributors across the UK and Western Europe as well as having our own e-commerce website. Our portfolio includes world-leading brands such as The Feme Collection, Urban, Outré, X-Pression, and Sensationnel, sold through our three companies – Feme in the UK, Versa in France, and Spell Beauty – our e-commerce arm.
As our Marketing & Digital Manager, you will be joining an established business that has been operating for over 25 years. Your role will focus on developing the connection between our brands and our B2B and B2C customers as well as improving internal communication, developing our small in-house marketing team, and managing our freelancers and external partners.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced hands-on marketing manager who wants to expand Feme’s digital offering and presence, grow the marketing team, market across Europe, and make a significant impact driving sales for this European commercial business.
Job Title: Marketing and Digital Manager
Reporting to: Company Directors
Location: On-site at our head office in South Wimbledon, London
· Work in agency style to raise brand awareness and manage eight to nine brands and associated collections
· Develop, lead, design and deliver online and offline marketing strategies and campaigns across the UK and France in line with company objectives and commercial targets
· Lead, develop, implement, track and optimize marketing campaigns across all relevant digital channels, including e-commerce, PPC, SEO, content, email, social media and third-party digital advertising
· Direct and supervise the planning and delivery of photoshoots, graphic design work, video creation, and media production
· Plan and deliver consumer facing events, including in-store activations and trade shows
· Ensure that Feme Ltd is up to date and compliant with all legal matters pertaining to marketing, including but not limited to GDPR, Data Protection, and Intellectual Property Rights
· Direct and oversee communication and creative solutions across all areas of the business - developing, delivering and guarding brand identity across imagery, content and editorial
· Engage and collaborate with other teams to maintain effective internal communications and ensure all relevant departments are kept informed
· Work with the Purchasing team to research and develop product branding and placement
· Support the Commercial team in organizing events and sales collateral to improve customer relationships and increase sales and product buy-in
· Support internal and external partners to launch campaigns on time and on budget
· Manage department and campaign marketing budgets to generate maximum return on investment, plan and forecast expenditure
· Recruit, induct, train and manage a small in-house marketing team
· Recruit, induct and manage a team of freelancers and external providers
· Communicate, agree and review staff and freelancer performance to help develop and grow the team
· Support the wider management team with HR and disciplinary matters
· Development and launch our websites in conjunction with our IT Department, improving user experience to increase customer retention and conversation across all sites
· Analyse, measure and report on the performance of all marketing campaigns
· Stay abreast of new marketing tools and strategies and implement them when relevant to increase efficiency, sales and profit
· Identify commercial trends, insights and optimize spend and performance based on data, travelling to target markets (UK and EU) to conduct research when necessary
· Be the brand guardian, with strong point of view on copy and design, and a creative approach across all mediums
· Work with our design and editorial staff to develop the marketing, branding and creative strategies for each brand and sub-brand
· Write and keep up to date all department procedures and processes, seeking to gain efficiencies in both when relevant and achievable
· Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required by the business
