EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
In summary, the ideal candidate is a strategic, results-driven, and adaptable marketing leader, adept at leveraging digital, physical, large-scale, and account-based marketing techniques. They must be proficient in data-driven decision-making and possess exceptional team leadership and development skills. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic, complex organizational structure and can effectively communicate and influence across multiple levels and functions.

Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent education in Business.
- Of 10+ years of experience in Marketing/Business Development/Sales, at least 4 were in leadership positions with a proven record of accomplishing concrete business results.
- Experience in SaaS marketing within the high-tech sector or similar subscription-based industries.
- Recent experience and knowledge of the Swiss marketplace.
- Broad understanding of all marketing tactics - from the innovative web to account-based marketing, customer lifecycle programs to events to drive revenue and transform brand and customer experience.
- The ideal candidate knows how to navigate the corporate matrix, leverages global assets, and adds local flavor to it to make it most relevant for the key target audiences.
- Strong skills related to people development, trust building, empowering, motivating, and developing teams in a virtual environment.
- Strong digital and account-based marketing track record, sales marketing experiences, and proven business results.
- Heavily data-driven marketing mindset and experiences in marketing automation are beneficial.
- Excellent German and English communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Familiar with operating within matrix organizations and a record of accomplishment as a thought leader and influencer in physical or virtual communities.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The Marketing Director for Switzerland is a position that bears responsibility and accountability for driving business results and organizational effectiveness. As Marketing Director, you will develop and implement SAP’s marketing strategy for increased awareness, thought leadership, demand and revenue growth, customer lifecycle management, and loyalty in Switzerland.
You are expected to drive innovative audience-focused marketing from strategy to execution with an adequate mix of push and pull tactics. This includes strategic direction-setting for marketing plans to meet corporate and local priorities, business performance reviews, and career development. Additionally, you will oversee the development and motivation of a best-in-class marketing organization and engage with internal and external stakeholders on various levels, leaving a strong footprint as a thought leader in the market and leading the Swiss marketing team.
The Marketing Director for Switzerland reports directly to the Head of Marketing of Middle and Eastern Europe (MEE), a member of the MEE Marketing leadership team, and a member of the Swiss extended management team.
