The Opportunity We are seeking a seasoned B2B Marketing Director to join our in-house marketing team who will have the opportunity to own responsibility for the corporate Meriton brand as well as work across a wide variety of operating brands, mediums, channels, and project types. A successful candidate will serve as an integral leader of our marketing team and should have experience managing fast-paced, dynamic teams and delivering on integrated marketing and communications priorities (in-house or agency) for multiple brands/accounts at a time. The Marketing Director is responsible for working closely with our Meriton leadership, marketing managers, operating company leaders and brands to develop and execute targeted marketing strategies that enhance brand presence and drive sales within assigned regions. This role entails close collaboration with local sales teams, hands-on execution of day-to-day marketing requests, event and social media management, management of strategic campaigns and projects with our in-house creative agency team, and direct oversight and management of the internal marketing team. Responsibilities Strategy and planning Collaborate with OpCo’s and Marketing Managers to develop and implement annual and long-term marketing strategies Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities Create and manage annual marketing plans and budgets Collaborate with leadership to align marketing with overall business goals Campaign management and execution Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, email, etc.) Manage brand awareness, product launches, and promotional events Collaborate with Comms team to develop content marketing strategies Ensure marketing and communications materials maintain a consistent brand image Team leadership Lead, manage, and mentor the Meriton marketing team Develop and nurture business partner/trusted advisor relationship with OpCo leaders and Meriton executive team Foster a culture of high performance within the team Analytics and reporting Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Analyze campaign performance and use data to inform future initiatives Measure return on investment (ROI) and report on the efficiency of marketing activities Collaboration and communication Collaborate with other departments, especially sales and shared services, to ensure strategy alignment Build and maintain relationships with external partners, media, and stakeholders Communicate marketing goals and strategies effectively within the team and the wider business The Profile 10+ years of hands-on marketing management experience in a corporate or agency setting – B2B experience preferred BA in marketing, communications, or journalism Works with a high degree of independence and is a self-starter Comfortable collaborating across all levels of an organization – from advising senior leaders to directly overseeing junior team members; previous people management experience preferred Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills Strong skill set working in Office Suite: PPT, Word, Excel Previous hands-on experience leading rebrand strategy development and brand rollout/deployment initiatives across complex corporate brands and businesses Proven experience developing and executing marketing strategies and plans, establishing budgets and measurable KPIs Experience in planning and developing content for internal communications channels including intranets, newsletters, town hall meetings, etc. Experience planning and executing company hosted events, customer appreciation events, employee events and other experiential marketing initiatives Ability to work with provided design templates to create on-brand collateral like flyers, presentations, posters, etc.; graphic design experience and/or experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications a plus Excellent project management and organization skills 5+ years managing teams of marketing professionals and driving team culture and positive group dynamic in a fast-paged, evolving environment Role does require some degree of travel for meetings with teammates across the network Other Skills/Abilities Strategic Skills Ability to keep up with current trends in communications, technologies and marketing strategies as well as competitive positioning and target mindset.
