Description

This position will be responsible for directing the local Sales and Marketing Department for a senior living facility and will require excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships, possess a strong understanding of the sales cycle, and must have mastered the art of closing. This position will require the use of strategic direct marketing, community outreach, and traditional sales tactics. Your goal will be to bring the Community to 100% occupancy and perform all leasing related tasks including move-ins and renewals.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3-4 years of senior industry sales experience with a proven record of closing.
  • Ability to think strategically to develop creative and effective marketing plans.
  • Oversee activities department & ensure residents are being actively fulfilled weekly.
  • Experience managing a marketing budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ability to develop relationships with prospective new residents and their families.
  • Possess an understanding of senior lifestyle and interests, and have a passion for working with this target segment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in computers and relevant software applications.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the entire sales process of the Community.

  • Compose copy and/or edit all marketing materials for corporate publications. Buy and coordinate advertising purchases; ensure invoices are accurate.
  • Develop a pool of new prospective residents by using a variety of on-line and off-line lead-generation tactics, (including existing residents’ leads, cold calling, and networking through local professional and community organizations).
  • Plan and execute traditional one-on-one marketing, inviting prospective residents and their influencers/decision-makers into the Community for lunch/visit.
  • Develop a follow-up strategy for your leads, ensuring that each sales contact is timely, appropriate and effective.
  • Use the internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool for tracking all potential residents and their families.
  • Negotiate rental agreements and terms with prospective residents and their families. Research and track local competitors to be knowledgeable of their pricing/special offers.
  • Direct and ensure that all pre-open marketing functions, such as naming, signing and local advertising are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Provide a weekly report summarizing sales efforts, (tracking status of prospective residents, sales hurdles, and competitors’ updates).
