The Opportunity We are seeking a Director of Marketing & Engagement to lead WVNZ’s transformation into a supporter-centric, digitally enabled, data-led organisation. This pivotal role integrates all marketing, fundraising, digital innovation, and supporter experience functions to grow child sponsorship, humanitarian income, and major giving ensuring WVNZ delivers bold impact for children and communities most in need. Reporting to the National Director and leading a talented team of over 60 people, you’ll shape the future of supporter engagement through digital transformation, brand storytelling, and growth innovation. You’ll also serve as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, co-owning our 2030 Strategy and organisational culture. Key Focus Areas Strategic Leadership: Lead the design and execution of WVNZ’s marketing and engagement strategy to achieve growth targets and build public belief in our mission. Digital Transformation: Drive Project Symphony, CRM modernisation, automation, and data-driven supporter journeys that lift lifetime value and cost efficiency. Fundraising Growth: Scale sponsorship, major giving, and humanitarian income through innovative, integrated campaigns and new digital acquisition channels. Brand and Supporter Experience: Ensure emotionally resonant storytelling across every touchpoint, deepening loyalty through the head, heart, hands model. About You You are a visionary senior marketing and fundraising leader who brings both strategic acumen and executional discipline.
