Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled colleague to drive event marketing in ZEISS Nordics!
You will be part of the Nordic sales and service organization with approx. 195 professionals covering Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. You will work closely with the Headquarter MarCom team and the Nordic marketing team to provide insights and requirements of local marketing needs and deliverables.
Make a difference, come join the team! We are a small team of three dedicated people with focus on digital marketing activation and event management. We share an open space office area at our DK office in Birkerød, 25km north of Copenhagen where you’ll also find sales, service, and business coordination colleagues from other business units.
Across the team there is a strong sense of belonging and working together to achieve our goals and leveraging our combined strengths.
What you will do:
As our new colleague driving event marketing, you will play a crucial operational role in executing our event marketing plan across the Nordics. Your primary focus will be on managing the logistics and execution of tradeshows and workshops, ensuring that our events effectively represent our brand and engage our target audiences.

Your work tasks will include:

  • Operational event management: Execute and manage all aspects of an event, including planning, coordination, and on-site management for both large-scale tradeshows, smaller workshops, and event sponsorships.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Interact with various stakeholders, including vendors, partners, and internal teams, to ensure seamless event execution and effective communication throughout the process.
  • Collaboration with sales teams: Work closely with sales teams to ensure that event activities are aligned with product launches and promotional campaigns, providing operational support to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Social media engagement: Drive social media initiatives related to events, creating engaging content and posts that promote our presence and activities before, during, and after events.
  • Graphic design support: Utilize InDesign to create appealing graphics and materials for tradeshows, ensuring that all promotional materials align with our brand standards and messaging.
  • Performance tracking: Monitor and evaluate the success of events through feedback and metrics, providing insights and recommendations for future events based on operational outcomes.
  • Best practice implementation: Ensure alignment with headquarters’ strategic guidelines while implementing best practices for event execution across Nordic markets.

What we hope from you:

  • You excel in an operational role, focusing on the execution of event marketing strategies while adhering to high-level guidance provided by corporate guidelines.
  • Proven experience in managing tradeshows and events, with a strong understanding of logistics and stakeholder management.
  • Excellence in communication, with the ability to create engaging social media content that drives audience interaction and brand awareness.
  • Experience with InDesign software to adapt and produce high-quality event materials and graphics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing role, with a focus on event management and execution.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • A background in a similar role is preferred, along with a genuine interest in achieving the best-in-class event for our sales teams.

Summary: You probably have a marketing education or a related field, but what is more important to us, is a proven experience in event and project marketing with focus on tradeshow planning, social media, target audience activation and product launches. You can manage multiple projects simultaneously and your communication and presentation skills give you the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to others.
A valid EU driver’s license and EU passport or permanent EU work permit is required.
The position may require approximately 10-20 overnight stays per year.
We offer a unique opportunity to work with an international market leader in optics. You will get professional colleagues that take pride in working with a high-end brand.
