MARKETING & EVENTS COORDINATOR - NEW PARK OPENINGS
Location: Denver, CO (HQ with travel to new parks as needed)
Position Type: Full-Time | Salary Range: $65,000 – $70,000

Lava Island is a fast-growing, family-focused indoor adventure park brand with a mission to promote active play and unforgettable guest experiences. With multiple parks open and more on the way, we are building a world-class team to support new park openings and deliver community-first marketing that drives strong attendance and party bookings from day one.
We’re seeking a New Park Opening (NPO) Marketing Coordinator to join our team (similar to a New Store Opening (NSO) Marketing Coordinator. This person will play a key role in ensuring successful launches for each new Lava Island location through coordinated grassroots marketing, local partnerships, and community engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS
2–5 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or community engagement (multi-location retail, FEC, hospitality, or franchise experience a plus).

- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple openings and deadlines.Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — comfortable engaging with community partners, schools, and local organizations.
- Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach to grassroots marketing and event execution.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and brand consistency.

- Proficiency with marketing tools (Google Suite, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms).
ROLE OVERVIEW
The NPO Marketing Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing marketing initiatives that drive attendance, awareness, and birthday party bookings during the critical first 90 days of a new park’s launch. This role works closely with the Operations team, General Managers, and external partners to ensure each opening is well-branded, community-connected, and supported by high-quality marketing campaigns and events.
