Description
The Events Intern will support the planning and completion of community-focused events created to attract local audiences, create and nourish relationships, and build our brand presence. This role offers hands-on experience working directly with the community as well as the Shanklin team. Key Responsibilities Assist with planning and organizing 1-3 community events per month Support the seamless operation of internal company events Prepare event materials such as signage and promotional products Support Marketing Manager with capturing pictures and videos of events for social media and internal use Assist with promoting community events through social media Communicate with vendors, venues, and internal teams to ensure that the event is coordinated properly Serve as an on-site representative during events, supporting event operations and engaging with attendees to ensure a positive experience Demonstrate strong knowledge of the company and our services to confidently share information and answer questions of the event attendees Help with event setup and teardown, including materials, signage, and equipment 8 hours a week for filming content at technician jobs and editing the content Qualifications and experience Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in marketing, event management, public relations, business administration, communications, or other related fields Eligible for the internship if already in another internship Experience in event planning, marketing, or related fields are preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Ability to work weekends and evenings Basic filming and editing skills Duration: Summer 2026 (May 2026 - October 2026)
