Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive to join our fundraising marketing team to deliver sector-leading fundraising campaigns. Working collaboratively with fundraising marketing leadership, this person plays a key role in the delivery of marketing campaigns across a range of channels and products. Your work will be instrumental in raising money to ensure we can provide vital physical, emotional and financial support for people living with cancer.
As a team, we are responsible for the marketing and project management of several large-scale fundraising campaigns, including Macmillan’s Coffee Morning, Brave the Shave, Longest Day Golf Challenge, Go Sober and the Macmillan Lottery. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a wide variety of campaigns, to ensure the team achieves its ambitious fundraising objectives. The role is a great opportunity to build on your existing marketing skills in a large charity context.

A typical week in this role might include:

  • Delivering key campaign actions to agreed schedules. This could include writing a data, artwork or media briefs, circulating campaign materials for approval, completing data or artwork checks
  • Leading a weekly call with an external agency partner, to agree key actions and keep a project on track
  • Reviewing campaign performance, reporting internally and identifying optimisations, where appropriate
  • Attending weekly catch ups with your project manager to discuss any campaign issues, blockers and to keep them updated on progress
  • Preparing for and attending monthly development meeting with your manager
