Description

We are currently looking for a Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is a hybrid role and can be based from either our Sheffield or Leicester depot.
As a Marketing Executive at First Bus, you’ll play a key role in bringing our brand to life across West Yorkshire, York, Manchester, Midlands and South Yorkshire, helping to shape local marketing plans that encourage more people to choose the bus, while reflecting the voices of our customers and communities.
You’ll be responsible for delivering end to end communication projects across the full marketing mix, as well as providing general support to the wider divisional commercial team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support the Marketing Manager in executing the annual commercial plans as well as any ad-hoc projects, ensuring both customer and team communications are on-brand and consistent
  • Input into the development of local campaigns across the regions
  • Collaborate with marketing agencies as and when required to develop assets for communications.
  • Create project plans to ensure activities and communications are delivered according to objectives and timelines.
  • Work alongside PR and internal communications.
  • Facilitate measurement and analysis of all projects undertaken.
  • Be responsible for raising and managing of POs for allocated projects as agreed with the Marketing Manager.
  • With support from the wider local commercial team, be the local custodian of the brand, ensuring governance is applied where required.
  • Provide marketing support and materials for wider members of the Bus Division as and when required.
  • Help manage the online (website, app and social) content across the company’s digital channels where appropriate.
  • Undertake any other duties or projects as directed by your line manager such as research projects.
  • Take ownership of general marketing administration for the marketing team.
  • Travel to various depots across the regions will be required.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • One of the following:2:1 degree in marketing/marketing-related disciplineCIM Level 3 or above marketing qualificationCompletion of marketing-related apprenticeship1-2 years working in marketing-focused role
  • Career-orientated with a desire to progress within the marketing team.
  • Approachable and a strong team player.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Confident communicator and excellent organisation skills.
  • Experience of proofreading and good attention to detail.
  • Customer focussed, inquisitive and confident to challenge the status quo.
  • Understanding of the key principles of marketing, campaign planning, and marketing research.
  • Understanding the principles of CRM and a data-led approach.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Sprout Social, Hootsuite or similar social media platform advantageous.
  • Experience using Canva or other design software advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of Google analytics advantageous.
