Job Summary
To plan and execute initiatives that support the growth of the Japan market to generate significant business adoption and customer participation by leveraging the full capabilities of our business partners, related content, media channels, and technology to achieve the project ROI. You will demonstrate a deep understanding of Japan market dynamics, cultural nuances and customer needs to market Marina Bay Sands to specific target Japan audiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Marketing & Business Partner Engagement
- Work under Assistant Manager of Japan Marketing to support the strategic marketing initiatives to acquire, retain, and reactivate valuable customers to track and grow our customer base, which would help to increase revenue for all business units. Marketing initiatives include but are not limited to:
- Actively working with OTA (online travel agency), financial service, travel & lifestyle platform, and media partners to plan and execute marketing campaigns for both branding and membership conversion purposes.
- Improving customer experiences through platform enhancement and business operations refinement.
- Coordinating with other teams and departments when necessary to ensure strategic alliance of Japan related offers and promotions to business goals, and/or integration of marketing initiatives into other business units’ plans where suitable.
- Supporting the business growth of the Japan markets with addition of onsite and offsite partners for the purposes of database acquisition and continuous marketing.
- Special Events Support
- Work under Assistant Manager of Japan Marketing to execute special events (e.g., concerts, dinner event, etc.) to acquire, retain, and reactivate valuable customers to track and grow our customer base, which would help to increase revenue for all business units. Special events initiatives include but are not limited to:
- Manage logistics for celebrity arrivals, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and on-site requirements during their stay.
- Support the execution of events, including vendor coordination, on-site set-up, rehearsals, contingency planning, and post-event wrap-up.
- Assist in creating marketing collaterals, ensuring brand consistency and timely delivery across channels.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and smooth event operations.
- Maintain a high level professionalism and discretion when handling high-profile guests and sensitive information.
- Social Media Support (i.e., LINE Official Account and digital ad.)
- Supporting contents execution/production, including events, shows, MICE, entertainment, reality shows, TV dramas, concerts, etc. to amplify the Marina Bay Sands brand awareness in Japan Market.
- Working with internal/external parties to create digital solutions and translations/interpretations to support customers from Japan markets.
- VIP Customer Hosting
- Hosting non-gaming VIP customers from the Japan region to ensure a satisfactory stay for them at our property.
- Other duties as directed by management
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
- 2-3 years of marketing experience required.
- Experience in the hospitality/ gaming/ entertainment/ media/ lifestyle/ travel industry preferred.
- University Degree in Marketing, Business or Hospitality or related field is preferred.
Experience
- In depth knowledge of Japan market and extended experiences living in Japan with a deep understanding the cultural and social media trend.
- Good interpersonal and project management skills.
Other Prerequisites
- Native in Japanese with strong communication skills and fluent in English to speak with Japan counterparts
- Demonstrated sense of responsibility and accountability in tasks and projects
- Excellent multitasking abilities and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and dedication to producing high-quality work
- Proactive and self-motivated with problem solving skills
- Creative, flexible, and a can-do attitude is highly desired
- Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience in SAS is preferred
