ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a communications or marketing role, with a proven ability to create engaging visual and written content tailored to a variety of audiences. You will bring a solid understanding of effective social media practices, along with hands-on experience using management and analytics tools. Familiarity with website or intranet content management systems is essential, as is the ability to gather and interpret data to inform creative strategies. Strong collaboration skills are important, as is the confidence to work independently when needed. Excellent organisational and time management abilities will help you thrive in this role, along with a genuine commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

We are seeking a confident individual with experience in using email marketing tools, such as Mailchimp, and proficiency in video editing and graphic design. A background in working within a small, fast-paced team is highly valued, along with a willingness to travel between sites when needed. A relevant qualification in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field is desirable, although hands-on ability and practical knowledge will also be considered.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As our Marketing, Growth and Outreach Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping our public presence. From social media and newsletters to website updates and fundraising support, you will tell our story and connect with our community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a creative and proactive individual to lead our digital communications and marketing efforts. In this varied role, you will be responsible for developing and managing engaging content across our social media platforms, building meaningful online engagement, and working closely with local community groups.
You will monitor analytics to assess the performance of our campaigns and use these insights to inform future activity. You will also create and grow our quarterly newsletters, manage email campaigns using Mailchimp, and ensure our website and Google Business profile are regularly updated. The role involves organising and archiving media assets, including maintaining accurate consent documentation.
You will support fundraising events and capture content to promote our work, manage donation platforms, and send thank-you letters to our supporters. You will also contribute to a range of ad-hoc marketing tasks to help us reach and inspire more people.
