Your success is what's next with Custom Truck One Source.  Summary Custom Truck One Source is looking for a summer Marketing Intern to assist with digital and content marketing operations and event projects.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities As a Marketing Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of marketing tasks. Your responsibilities will include: * Administrative & Marketing Operations Support 1. Assist in handling inbound marketing requests and team correspondence. 2. Support organization and logistics for marketing events and campaigns. 3. Maintain organized digital files, assets, and documentation. 4. Organize and maintain promotional merchandise, swag, and literature. 5. Support tasks including PowerPoint creation and editing, product description generation and cataloging, budgetary purchase order documentation, customer appreciation accommodations, and branded merchandise coordination. 6. Assist with marketing systems audits (AdPipe, Dropbox, HubSpot) to improve file organization and usability. 7. Review and archive or expire outdated content; flag items requiring compliance or safety review. 8. Apply tags and metadata to digital assets to improve searchability and indexing. 9. Help document updated folder structures, naming conventions, and workflows. 10. Create simple job aids or reference guides outlining new organization systems and best practices. * Data Entry & Cleaning: 1. Assist in cleaning, standardizing, and organizing marketing data. 2. Verify and update information in company ERP, CRM, and related systems. 3. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure data accuracy and integrity. 4. Support new data entry initiatives while enriching and maintaining existing datasets. * Content Proofreading & Updates: 1. Review and proofread marketing materials, including blog posts, emails, product descriptions, and social media content. 2. Suggest improvements in grammar, punctuation, clarity, and readability. 3. Ensure brand voice and consistency across written materials. 4. Stay current on industry trends and competitor marketing strategies. 5. Research and compile relevant articles, case studies, and market insights. 6. Summarize findings and share actionable insights with the marketing team. * Other duties as assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications: * Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. * Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Adobe Suite. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Highly organized and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. * Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude. Working Conditions * In-person work at the Kansas City headquarter office up to (5) 8-hour days per week, within the date range of the summer internship. * Must be able to work in both hot and cold environments as needed for outdoor photography/videography projects. Physical Requirements * Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk reasonable distances as needed in daily duties. * Must be able to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs., as needed.
