Job Details Job Location: Jamestown, NC 27282 Position Type: Internship Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Marketing Job purpose At Furnitureland South, we're seeking two motivated, detail-oriented, and creative individuals to join our marketing team for the summer. This internship provides a comprehensive experience in all aspects of marketing, offering hands-on opportunities to contribute to our brand's digital presence while developing skills in content creation, video production, social media strategy, and marketing analysis. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Analyze the performance of marketing efforts across multiple channels, such as social media, digital marketing, and paid search, to provide actionable insights. Shadow and collaborate with various members of the marketing team, gaining exposure to campaign strategy, content creation, and creative processes. Assist in the development and execution of marketing projects, including brainstorming ideas and contributing to the creation of media and materials. Support the creative marketing manager in strategizing, planning, and implementing innovative campaigns to meet business objectives. Work alongside videographers, graphic designers, and photographers to help produce engaging visual content for digital and print platforms. Participate in hands-on tasks related to content creation, such as editing, designing, and organizing marketing assets. Contribute to projects across various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and promotional materials, based on team needs. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the marketing team and enhance learning opportunities. Working conditions This job operates in a professional onsite office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Currently enrolled in a four-year college or university majoring in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Business Administration, Graphic Design, Statistics, or a related field (rising senior status preferred). Candidates enrolled in a two-year college with relevant work experience are also encouraged to apply. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with strong Excel skills for analytical tasks. Familiar with graphic design and video editing software such as Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, or After Effects. Demonstrates an understanding of content creation for brand building and effectively communicating to a specific audience.
