Description
At K2 Medical Research, we are transforming healthcare by delivering tomorrow’s treatments today. As a rapidly growing clinical research organization across Florida, Tennessee, and Rhode Island, we lead multiphasic trials in therapeutic areas ranging from neurodegenerative to cardiometabolic medicine. Our culture is grounded in clinical excellence and a patient-first mission. We are seeking mission-driven individuals ready to play a meaningful role in bringing life-changing treatments to the patients who need them most. K2 Medical Research is seeking a Marketing Intern to support our growth and community engagement efforts, primarily based out of our Orlando (Maitland), FL headquarters. This role is designed for a creative and energetic individual eager to learn the intersection of healthcare marketing and clinical research. The intern will support the "K2 Mission" by helping to bridge the gap between complex clinical trials and our local diverse communities. Success in this role requires a "mountain climbing" mindset—someone who is ready to reach for the summit by supporting multi-channel marketing campaigns, managing social media presence, and assisting with community outreach events. This position is critical to maintaining K2’s reputation for excellence, warmth, and hospitality in the clinical research space. Responsibilities: * Content Creation & Social Media: Assist in developing and scheduling engaging content for K2’s social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) to increase brand awareness. Draft articles for the company intranet and website that highlight "New Mountaineers," patient success stories, and clinical milestones. Help create promotional materials, including flyers and digital assets. * Community Outreach & Events: Support the coordination and execution of local community events, health fairs, and internal staff engagement activities. Represent the organization professionally at industry conferences or networking events as needed. Help manage the distribution of marketing materials to local medical practices and community centers. * Marketing Analytics & CRM Support: Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns to track performance and ROI. Assist in maintaining the CRM database to ensure data integrity and accurate tracking of community leads. Conduct market research on competitor strategies and emerging clinical research trends. * Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the HR and Operations teams to align marketing efforts with internal recruitment needs and study milestones. Participate in team meetings and relay pertinent marketing updates to site leadership in a timely manner. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: * Support the organization's goals, missions, and values, emphasizing a patient-first approach. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and creative problem-solving skills. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with social media management tools. * A hospitable and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, physicians, and staff. Qualifications * Minimum Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related healthcare field. Strong interest in clinical research and community health advocacy. * Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software. Previous experience in a customer service or professional office environment. Familiarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics). At K2, we value our employees and their professional and personal needs, and support these through our benefit offerings: * Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Accounts, Employer paid Long-Term disability and Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, Accident and Critical Illness Insurance, Voluntary Life and Long-Term Care Insurance, Legal Shield, Employee Assistance Program, and various discount programs. * 401(K) Plans- Traditional and Roth plans are available; 4% employer match that is immediately vested * PTO of 16 days per year, 17 days after the first year of FT employment * 9 paid Holidays * K2 observes a four-day work week, Monday through Thursday, for full time employees.
