Description Job Purpose: The purpose of this internship is to provide a hands-on learning experience in the field of marketing, allowing the intern to actively contribute to the development and execution of marketing strategies, campaigns, and content. Through a variety of responsibilities in areas such as social media, video production, merchandise planning, activations, and PR, the intern will gain valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of a marketing team. This role is designed to help the intern build their skills in creative problem-solving, content creation, and campaign management, while supporting the broader goals of the marketing department and enhancing their understanding of how marketing drives business success. Duties: General Marketing Support: Conceptualize new marketing assets in the form of infographics for the sales team, helping customers understand product value and encouraging purchase decisions. Collaborate with the Art Director to design infographics using design softwares. Input and maintain marketing product content and information for teams organizational use. Learn to manage and update the Marketing Dashboard to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available at all times. Assist in writing creative briefs, pitching ideas to the marketing team, and managing campaigns from concept to launch. Activations: Plan, promote, and execute marketing activations, collaborating with the PR team, ambassadors, and display vehicles to conceptualize and implement select events. Social Media: Assist in developing content calendars and writing engaging copy for social media posts. Help craft and schedule promotional and holiday-specific copywriting for social media platforms. Manage a social media weekend takeover with an ambassador, ensuring smooth execution and engagement. Conceptualize and implement a social media contest, overseeing the delivery of prizes to winners. Video Production: Work with HQ Producers/Editors to conceptualize, plan, and produce product information videos for the sales team. Aim to complete at least six 30-second videos by the end of the internship. Merchandise Planning: Assist in planning and implementing a co-op apparel site for the sales team, including writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for inventorying logos, ordering apparel, and managing fulfillment processes. Help organize and inventory apparel and promotional items at the Indianapolis office. PR: Assist with the process of working alongside our PR agency to develop and execute a press release. Utility: Learn and execute the inventory and organization process for promotional and event materials to ensure proper management and availability. Requirements Skills/Qualifications: Enthusiastic about marketing and communication, with an interest in learning more about product marketing, content creation, social media, video production, and PR. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively. Willingness to learn and assist in a variety of marketing tasks to contribute to the success of the department. This internship offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, ideal for individuals looking to gain practical knowledge in the field of marketing and communications. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working at a desk or computer. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for tasks such as organizing promotional materials, apparel, or event supplies. Occasional need to participate in on-site events or activations, which may involve walking, standing, or assisting with event setup and breakdown. Ability to use standard office equipment, including computers, printers, and phones.
