Responsibilities:

THE ROLE – MARKETING LEAD (STANDALONE ROLE)

We are seeking a highly skilled, strategic, and self-sufficient Marketing Lead to take full ownership of our marketing function. This is a standalone position, meaning you will be solely responsible for developing, executing, and managing all marketing activities. While you will have the support of team members in other areas, there is no existing marketing team or agency support, so this role requires someone who can independently lead, implement, and optimise marketing strategies.

As our sole marketing expert, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support business growth. This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic vision and practical execution across multiple marketing disciplines.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about marketing, stays ahead of industry trends, and possesses strong communication and strategic thinking skills. You must be comfortable making independent decisions, managing multiple projects, and collaborating cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the company’s entire marketing strategy, aligning it with business goals.
  • Own and manage all marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, content marketing, SEO, and paid advertising.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns from concept to execution, including content development, audience targeting, and performance analysis.
  • Produce high-quality content, including articles, newsletters, case studies, and customer success stories.
  • Analyse marketing performance and continuously refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Work with internal teams (sales, strategy, product development) to ensure marketing aligns with business needs.
  • Ensure brand consistency in style, tone, and quality across all marketing materials.
  • Manage external relationships, such as designers, content creators, and advertising platforms, where necessary.

To succeed in this role, you must be:

  • A self-starter with full confidence in leading marketing initiatives independently.
  • Willing to learn new skills, come up with and try out new ideas thinking ’outside the box’, and have fun doing it!
  • Based in the UK, as the role involves travel to customer locations and our office in Stafford (West Midlands) at times to be agreed.
  • Experienced in digital marketing, with hands-on expertise in multiple marketing disciplines. (Recent marketing graduates with demonstrable skills and experience may also be considered.)
  • Strong in content creation and copywriting, with excellent written and verbal English communication.
  • Analytical and results-driven, with the ability to assess campaign performance and refine strategies.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledgeable in SEO, Google Ads, and social media management.
  • Proficient (or be willing to learn) key marketing tools including Canva, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Plannable (or similar), Trello/Monday (or similar), WordPress (for basic content updates), and other related softwares or platforms
