To optimize the profitability of the CA portfolio, the global marketing strategy and campaign should be strategically designed and implemented to maximize market share and margin generation. This can be achieved through a series of integrated marketing efforts aimed at increasing brand visibility, expanding market penetration, and driving value-added customer engagement. The key performance indicators (KPIs) to be focused on are market share growth and margin improvement.
Area of accountability no.1: Develop 3 Y regional marketing plans & budget on Key Products and Regional Key Products (focus on 20/80 growth drivers, ambitions, drivers for growth, resources needed…)

Main activities

  • Analyze market trends, competitor actions, and customer segmentation.
  • Define target audiences and value propositions in collaboration with GMMD for key products.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing plans with strategies, tactics, and timelines.
  • Consolidate, allocate, and monitor marketing budgets across regions based on planned activities and resources.

Expected Results

  • Optimal allocation of marketing resources and budgets.
  • Regional growth outpacing the market in the defined product category.

Area of accountability no.2: Ensure seamless communication and good practices sharing between countries (create official regular touchpoint)

Main activities

  • Establish a regular communication schedule and platform with countries (one-on-one and/or collective).
  • Create a centralized repository for storing and sharing best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-country collaboration on joint marketing campaigns.

Expected Results

  • Enhanced marketing ROI and effectiveness through shared best practices.
  • Greater consistency in brand messaging and campaigns.
  • Reduced duplication and increased operational efficiency.

Area of accountability no.3: Adapt global marketing materials for Key Products to regional needs and regulations to take into accounts cultural nuances/specificities, local dynamics and regulatory requirements

Main activities

  • Adapt global marketing content (text, visuals, videos) to suit regional audiences.
  • Adjust product messaging and positioning to meet regional market demands.
  • Ensure compliance of marketing materials with local regulations in collaboration with regulatory teams.
  • Align marketing efforts with regional business goals through collaboration with local sales and product teams.

Expected Results

  • Increased regional market share for key products.
  • Ability to launch regional campaigns with consistent, aligned messaging.

Area of accountability no.4: Conduct regional research/analysis and guarantee a perfect understanding of the local markets to properly value the different business opportunities (internal R&D projects, external BD deals) in coordination with GMMD & HQ teams

  • Analyze data on market size, growth, trends, and competition.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and their impact on business opportunities.
  • Assess the market potential of internal R&D projects and external business deals.

  • Prioritization of high-potential business opportunities based on market potential and strategic alignment.
  • Proactive identification of market opportunities and risks.

Area of accountability no.5 Monitor on regular basis the performance (sales, margin, N° of customer, repurchase, MS..) of Key products and Regional KP and implement corrective measures in agreement with core countries and GMMD

Main activities

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards and reports.
  • Analyze trends, identify deviations from targets, and propose corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with core countries and GMMD to implement corrective plans.

Expected Results

  • Increased sales revenue and market share for key products.
  • Improved margins and overall profitability.
  • Successful implementation of data-driven corrective actions.

Area of accountability no.6: coordination between countries and GMMD in the launching of new products or related with the regulatory follow up for strategic products

Main activities

  • Develop and maintain launch timelines and project plans.
  • Facilitate communication and information sharing between countries and GMMD.
  • Ensure alignment on launch strategies, marketing materials, and promotions.
  • Coordinate communication between regulatory and marketing teams (local and global).

Expected Results

  • Successful and timely new product launches that meet or exceed targets.
  • Increased efficiency and reduced delays in product launches and regulatory processes.

Area of accountability no.7: Team Management & Development:
help to develop people, increasing competences and work in the succession planning/mobility with the General Managers

Main activities

  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Mentor team members and support their career development.
  • Facilitate training and development to enhance key competencies.
  • Collaborate with General Managers to identify succession plans and mobility opportunities.

Expected Results

  • Establish a pool of qualified candidates for future leadership roles.
  • Increased retention of high-performing team members.
  • Smooth transitions in key leadership positions through succession and mobility planning.
