Description

Summary: The Marketing Manager serves as EdVenture’s visual communicator, both internally and externally while protecting the integrity of the EdVenture brand. Working closely with the Marketing Department, this position will execute EdVenture’s marketing plans with a strong focus on digital platforms. With realistic marketing goals and successful marketing efforts the Marketing Manager will build a community online and in the Museum.
Work Schedule and Conditions: Regular schedule of 40 hours per week in a museum environment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position requires moving throughout the Museum for an extended period.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in visual/graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field, with 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge related to website management, analytics, and metrics.
  • Able to organize and manage multiple priorities, while demonstrating strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with graphic design, photography, videography, and social media.
  • Proficient in communicating effectively visually, verbally, and in written form.
  • Problem solver and solutions-focused team member.
  • Able to translate core business concepts into compelling visuals and engaging storytelling.
  • Exhibit a curious, positive, and enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Understanding of the non-profit sector is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and producing a wide range of marketing elements including graphics, social media content, email marketing and templates, advertisements, marketing collateral, and other promotional materials.
  • Assisting with website design, updates, and content management, ensuring a user-friendly, up-to-date, and visually appealing online presence.
  • Managing the Museum’s social media platforms by creating and scheduling social media content, engaging with followers, monitoring performance, and responding to social media messages promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns that drive engagement and reach.
  • Managing EdVenture’s online reputation using platforms such as Google, Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc.
  • Collecting and analyzing metrics reports and website data, making suggestions for improved engagement.
  • Ensuring all marketing content aligns with the Museum’s marketing strategies and brand.
  • Maintaining organized libraries of edited photos and videos, graphics, and design assets.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage emerging trends in digital and social media marketing.
  • Performing other duties as assigned in support of the museum’s activities.
