Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Working closely with the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will implement consumer and trade marketing strategies, supporting Commercial Branded Services teams to achieve business KPIs through effective marketing plans, including on and off-air campaigns, digital presence enhancement, performance marketing, trade events, partnerships, and sales support.
The role also includes managing a team and relationships with senior stakeholders within BBC and key clients in the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Actively contribute to the annual consumer and trade marketing strategy for the CEE & MENAT regions, executing marketing plans, and managing campaigns from conception to execution and analysis.

  • Collaborate with Programming, Media Planning, and Creative teams to develop and implement brand marketing campaigns with exceptional media and creative strategies.
  • Implement and manage the annual marketing plan for CEE & MENAT, ensuring alignment with business objectives and KPIs, and oversee external marketing agencies to deliver omni-channel campaigns.
  • Develop and execute strategies for paid media and social media campaigns, enhance community engagement, and conduct post-campaign reviews to optimize future efforts.
  • Collaborate with Distribution, Ad Sales, and Content Sales teams, as well as key Affiliate Partners, to build and execute local trade marketing plans, manage joint marketing campaigns, enhance affiliate engagement in BBC content, and support strategy development for VOD products through omni-channel marketing initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and local agencies to deliver successful marketing campaigns, manage and inspire the Marketing team, and provide guidance and mentorship to ensure successful execution of projects and continuous team development.
  • Align campaigns with commercial objectives, define and track KPIs, review performance with agencies, monitor market trends, collaborate with Insights and Finance teams, and manage the marketing budget for maximum efficiency and growth.

    • Manage team resources and marketing budget alongside the Head of Marketing, ensure audience research informs campaign decisions, comply with BBC procedures and guidelines and uphold BBC’s mission and values,

Extensive experience in a marketing manager role, with strong knowledge of media marketing strategy, planning, and execution. Proficient in scaled multi-channel campaigns, social and digital marketing, digital tools and platforms, and understanding digital trends, social media, and consumer behaviour.

  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team.
  • Experience in managing media agencies and partners, building strong working relationships.
  • Experience working with Commercial teams to deliver against business objectives
