Description

ransgrid operates and manages the major high voltage electricity transmission network in NSW and the ACT, connecting generators, distributors and major end users.

Our core role is to connect electricity consumers to a safe, secure and reliable network through efficient maintenance, proficient operation of assets and prudent investment. Our network is the backbone of the NEM, enabling energy trading between Australia's three largest states along the east coast and supporting the competitive wholesale electricity market

About the role

We are seeking an experienced enterprise technology, software and application based Senior IT Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives across our portfolio. Working within a highly regulated utilities environment, you will manage end-to-end project delivery across Network, Delivery and Major Projects business units, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Reporting to the Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will partner with senior business leaders, technology teams and delivery partners to drive project success while navigating a complex governance framework. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned project professional who enjoys delivering business-critical technology outcomes and influencing stakeholders at all levels

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved within scope, schedule, budget and quality expectations.
  • Develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and oversee project risks, issues and dependencies to drive successful delivery outcomes.
  • Lead governance and reporting activities, including project status updates, steering committee engagement and executive communications.
  • Build strong relationships across Technology, business stakeholders and delivery partners, providing leadership and fostering collaboration in a matrix environment.
  • Ensure projects adhere to delivery frameworks, governance standards and assurance requirements while driving continuous improvement, quality and accountability across the project lifecycle.
