ABOUT US

Our purpose is simple: to save lives at sea. 24 hours a day, every day, RNLI lifesavers are ready to launch to the rescue.
The RNLI is looking for a talented and passionate Marketing Manager to work in the Legacy Marketing Team as the In Memory Marketing Manager. This team has undergone significant growth in the last couple of years, supporting the RNLI by raising funds through gifts left to our charity in Wills and in memory giving. In this role you’ll focus on our In Memory programme, which consists of Launch a Memory and all our other In Memory Products, such as Tribute Funds, Dedication Pages and one-off In Memory Giving. You’ll also collaborate with your peers in the Acquisition and Engagement teams to ensure supporters receive a seamless experience to secure and retain their future support.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As an In Memory Marketing Manager in the Legacy Marketing Team you will be focussed on:

  • Planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of our activities aimed at growing and enhancing our In Memory Programme
  • Managing multi-channel campaigns and an always on acquisition programme, consisting of paid media (PPC and Paid Social)
  • Managing campaigns through our internal delivery teams and working with external agencies and other specialist suppliers
  • Maintaining excellent and effective relationships with other internal stakeholders, staff and volunteers and ensuring that campaign plans are integrated with RNLI activity across multiple departments
  • Working alongside the existing Marketing Managers to ensure that the team of Executives are supported, developed and motivated
  • Supporting the Senior Marketing Manager to shape and deliver the in-memory strategy

As an experienced marketeer/fundraiser, you’ll be comfortable developing and delivering fundraising campaigns, working collaboratively with your peers. To be considered for this role you’ll need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience in successfully developing and running integrated multi-channel campaigns in marketing and/or fundraising, including supporter/customer journey or relationship building
  • Strong project management skills to communicate with, engage and influence stakeholders and suppliers and ensure work is delivered on brief, on time, and on budget
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, be competent in using and interpreting data, and have a passion to seize opportunities and overcome challenges to deliver an outstanding donor-centric experience for our in memory supporters
  • Ability to work in an organised and structured manner balancing your time appropriately to meet short-term and longer-term goal
