Job Description This role is based in our 17/F, China Resources Building, 26 Harbour Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong office. JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to drive marketing efforts for our exhibition portfolio: HOFEX, RBHK, Connect Marketplace, Build4Asia, and Retail Asia Conference & Expo. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Director and managing a team of marketing professionals, this role will lead brand growth across all five industry events spanning food, construction, and retail sectors. The position requires close partnership with individual Event Managers for each exhibition to ensure seamless execution and strategic alignment. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Marketing Planning & Portfolio Management Develop annual marketing strategies and budgets Create integrated marketing calendars optimising events promotion Conduct market research and competitive analysis across food, construction, and retail sectors Establish KPIs and collaborate with Senior Portfolio Director on business alignment Create cross-event synergies & portfolio integration and identify cross-selling opportunities between exhibitions for multi-event participation Cross-Functional Partnership & Collaboration Coordinate marketing activities with Event Managers to ensure strategic alignment and operational efficiency Facilitate regular communication between marketing team and Event Managers Collaborate on budget allocation, resource planning, and campaign prioritisation Support Event Managers in achieving their individual event objectives through targeted marketing initiatives Digital Marketing & Multi-Channel Campaigns Oversee website management, SEO optimisation, and user experience across event sites Develop social media strategies tailored to each industry sector Manage email marketing campaigns including newsletters and follow-up sequences Coordinate paid advertising across Google Ads, LinkedIn, and industry publications Implement marketing automation workflows and oversee content creation Brand Management & Communications Maintain consistent brand identity whilst highlighting unique value propositions Develop key messaging frameworks for different audiences and sectors Coordinate PR activities including press releases and journalist relations Manage brand partnerships and ensure compliance with global brand guidelines Event Marketing & On-Site Activation Plan pre-event marketing campaigns and coordinate on-site branding activities Manage live event promotion through social media and real-time content Oversee post-event marketing including feedback collection and next event promotion Coordinate with operations teams and Show Leads for seamless event execution Vendor Management & External Relations Coordinate with creative agencies, PR firms, and external vendors Manage technology provider relationships and oversee freelance resources Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance across the portfolio Ensure cost-effective resource allocation across all exhibitions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field 8+ years of exhibition/trade show marketing experience Proven leadership experience in marketing teams Multi-sector or multi-event portfolio management experience preferred Experience in food & beverage, construction, or retail industry marketing advantageous Proficient in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, and event management platforms Excellent project management and analytical skills with multi-tasking abilities Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking across diverse industries Ability to manage complex, multi-event marketing calendars Strong leadership and team management capabilities Excellent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin Additional Information We work hard to make sure Life at Informa is rewarding, supportive and enjoyable for everyone.
