POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP Sales and Marketing, the Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of brand plans, product go to marketing strategy and marketing initiatives to deliver against quarterly sales and marketing objectives. This role requires close interaction with cross functional teams to lead the commercialization of MediPharm Labs’ products while setting the direction of future growth within this new industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Health Sciences; MBA an asset
  • 5+ years of CPG and/or natural health or pharmaceutical marketing and brand management experience

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of domestic adult use marketing plan including regular business reviews and assessment of market performance, category/competitive dynamics, consumer metrics, consumer trends, as well as an assessment of the brands SWOT to determine the key levers to be applied to maximize the brands performance over the long term
  • The on-going stewardship of MediPharm Labs global brand architecture and positioning based on consumer insight and fact-based analysis
  • Contribute to brand identity model, visual identity and positioning, design of packaging and sales collateral materials
  • Utilize consumer insights to plan product innovations; collaborate with Product Development, Production, Supply Chain and sales, and project manage all commercial aspects of the launch to ensure successful product innovations in compliance to our regulatory requirements
  • Develop domestic marketing mix, channel strategies and activations including development of program components, sales and educational collateral and execution playbooks, digital strategy, communication and media plans.
  • Plan and execute a calendar of annual events and partnerships to leverage strategic brand alliances and assets; leverage public/media relations and content creator out-reach
  • Produce regular reports to track initiatives and performance
  • Manage in house design team and external resources as needed to support asset development for our adult use and wellness brands (MediPharm Labs, Wildlife Cannabis Co.,Northbound Cannabis) and our international and medical domestic brands (Beacon Medical and Canna Farms).
  • Work in partnership with the National Sales Manager and Key Account Manager to develop and execute trade marketing and education programs.
  • Work closely with our International Sales leads across Beacon international projects and our Manager Medical, Sales and Marketing who is responsible for our direct to patient medical ecommerce commercial strategy and execution.
