Description
Optica is seeking a creative, data-driven, and strategic Marketing Manager to lead and execute comprehensive marketing initiatives across its Membership, Outreach Programs, Foundation Programs, selected Scholarships, and Prizes. This role will be critical to enhancing the visibility, engagement, and impact of Optica’s core offerings and mission-driven programs through innovative campaigns and content. The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels in project management, and brings a strong background in multi-channel marketing, content strategy, and campaign analytics. Key Responsibilities: 1. Membership Marketing (Individual): * Collaborate with the membership team on marketing campaigns to drive member acquisition, engagement, and retention. * Craft compelling value propositions and messages for diverse member segments (students, early-career, professionals). * Collaborate with the Membership team to align messaging with strategic growth goals. * Analyze campaign performance and provide regular reporting on key KPIs. 2. Outreach and Foundation Programs: * Design and execute promotional strategies for educational and professional development initiatives (e.g., Ambassador Program, Career Accelerator, IONS, Amplify, Mid-Management Summit, Start-up programs). * Work closely with Outreach and Foundation program staff to ensure timely marketing of events, calls for applications, and impact stories. * Create campaigns through storytelling and communication strategies. * Support team with completing final templates to be submitted to Optica Foundation after each program event within 30 days.         * Oversee Nagel Lounge at Optica Fiber Conference in partnership with IEEE Society  3. Scholarship and Prize Marketing: * Promote select Foundation scholarships and prizes through targeted outreach and digital campaigns. * Develop marketing materials (e.g., flyers, social media assets, web content) that align with Optica’s branding and mission. * Coordinate with program team on deadlines, promotion calendars, and messaging. 4. Digital and Content Strategy: * Manage creation and distribution of content across email, social media, website, and digital ads. * Collaborate with internal stakeholders and designers to produce visually appealing and informative materials. * Maintain campaign calendars and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints. * Support Optica Booth and Member Lounge as needed  * Lead person in building our social media presence on external sites (if business plan is approved).  5. Performance Tracking and Reporting: * Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing efforts, using data to optimize strategies and tactics. * Present findings and recommendations to internal teams and leadership. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. * 5–7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in a nonprofit, association, or STEM/education-related environment. * Proven ability to plan, execute, and analyze integrated marketing campaigns. * Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills. * Experience with marketing platforms and tools (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). * Knowledge of digital advertising (e.g., LinkedIn, Meta, Google Ads) a plus. * Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
