Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE:

Create and deliver a multi-channel marketing plan for Great British Confectionery Group (GBCG), driving growth and visibility across a diverse portfolio that includes Montezuma’s – premium chocolate, Bristows – value confectionery, and a growing range of licensed products.

MAIN DUTIES:

  • Taking ownership of the vision, creation and delivery of the GBCG marketing strategy that is aligned to our overall business strategy;
  • Act as brand champion for Montezuma’s, Bristows, and licensed confectionery, ensuring clarity and consistency of message across all channels and materials;
  • Line Management responsibility for the Digital Marketing Executive and oversee the social content calendar, ensuring relevant and motivating content to drive positive engagement
  • Manage external agencies where these are in place including PR, creative, partnerships and sponsorships as necessary;
  • Support the development, execution and ongoing marketing of licensing collaborations for both Montezuma’s and Bristows, working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and commercial goals;
  • Research and plan external events which support the marketing strategy, taking overall responsibility for the management of these events;
  • Plan, manage and communicate new product launches, giving our teams and their customers all the reasons they need to love them;
  • Work collaboratively with the retail and e-commerce teams to assist with and oversee their marketing plans, keeping them on track with business-wide initiatives;
  • Assist the Retail teams with local marketing initiatives, helping them to identify opportunities and assisting them with local events;
  • Carry out market research across the confectionery industry, analyse results and present with recommendations;
  • Manage the marketing budget, planning for careful expenditure and allowing for ad-hoc last minute activity should opportunities arise;
